Turn any poll into a Quiz / Test: set the correct answers, give each question points and choose a pass mark. Every response is scored automatically.
Quiz / Test mode
When you create a poll, choose the Quiz / Test mode. Your questions stay the same, but each scored question gets a correct answer and a number of points, and the quiz gets a pass mark from 1 to 100% of the available points.
Participants answer as usual. When they submit, VotePoll calculates their score and whether they passed. You always see every participant’s score on the manage page.
What can be scored
- Multiple choice and Pictures — one correct answer, or several. Multi-answer questions award exact partial credit: correct selections add credit and incorrect selections deduct the same share, never below zero.
- Text answer — list the accepted answers and choose whether matching is case-sensitive.
- Ranking — set the correct order; the answer scores when the order matches.
Rating and Meeting questions can be included in a quiz but are not scored.
Scores and answer release
- Show score to participant — on or off. When on, participants see their own score and result after submitting.
- Show correct answers — never, after submission, or after the quiz closes.
Correct answers are never sent to a participant’s browser before they are released, so they cannot be read from the page.
Practice quiz or formal test
A practice quiz usually shows the score and answers right after submitting and may let participants change their answers. VotePoll warns you when a visible score combined with answer editing would let people probe for the correct answers.
A formal test usually allows one submission and releases the answers after the test closes. Use sections to split a test into parts.

Sharing and results
Share the quiz with its participant link or QR code, optionally protected by a password. On the manage page you see each response with its points and result, plus statistics for every scored question, and you can export everything as a CSV file.
