Online poll maker
Ask a question, share a link and see what people choose. VotePoll polls work in any modern browser — no app to install and no account needed to create or vote.
What can I create?
A VotePoll poll can be a single quick question or a longer poll with up to 25 questions. Longer polls can be split into sections, so participants answer one page at a time.
- A quick vote — one multiple-choice question, ready to share in a minute.
- A multi-question poll — mix question types and mark each one required or optional.
- A sectioned poll — group questions into pages with their own headings.
- A survey or quiz — see the survey maker and quiz maker pages.
How it works
- Write your question (or questions) and choose a question type.
- Pick settings such as who can see results, when the poll closes and whether participants give their name.
- Select Create poll. You get a participant link to share and a private management link for yourself.
- Follow the results as responses come in, and close or edit the poll from its manage page.
Before anyone responds you can still change the questions; once responses arrive the structure is locked so results stay consistent.
Poll question types
- Multiple choice — participants pick one answer, or several if you allow multiple answers.
- Pictures — participants vote between images you upload.
- Rating — each item is scored on a 0–10 scale.
- Ranking — participants put options in their preferred order, optionally marking some as not important.
- Meeting — participants mark which dates and times work for them (see meeting poll).
- Text answer — a written answer, with optional minimum and maximum length.
Sharing your poll
Every poll has one participant link. From the share panel you can copy it, download a QR code (PNG or SVG) for slides and printouts, or open the participant view. You can also preview the poll exactly as participants see it, without submitting anything.
The participant link never contains your management link or password. If you add password protection, participants enter the password before they can answer.

- Ask for participant names, or leave polls anonymous to other participants.
- Set a closing date or a duration; polls close automatically after 30 days by default.
- Limit repeat voting from the same browser, or allow participants to change their vote.
- Export responses as a CSV file from the manage page.
